Brushless runs at up to 95% efficiency. Brushed motors are at best 70% but that is only when the motor is new. Expect your brushed trolling motor to run at 60% or lower efficiency.

You may have a cable shift motor, but the cables only operate an electrical switch. They don't mechanically shift or move the throttle.

If your worried about throwing blades dont have them thinned (Labbed).

Bravo 1 with 1" holes will have the best on plane times. You can always epoxy plugs in the holes to reduce them.
