Hehehe....I love having this conversation with Alex....we agree to disagree.

I would totally agree with him that the spiral does nothing for you while working a bait...especially tip down...

If your grip material is slipping a little on the mandrel you can use either mandrel wax, or some masking tape. I usually put a wrap of blue painters tape on my mandrel if I am going to turn...

Re: Rod eye partially filled with epoxy (bigbasser54)

I would gently warm up the epoxy in the ring with a lighter and use a toothpick or other small blunt object to push the epoxy out of the ring....just don't heat it to much....a little at a time is...

Good luck...each company has a slightly different theory. Generally the size of a ceramic guide is measured in millimeters and is taken at the inside of the frame ring. So a size 6 fuji guide...

    Rev Limiter??? 03 200VmaxHPDI

Hey guys, trying to find out what my rev. limiter is set at on a 2003 200Vmax HPDI. I'm currently getting about 5700-5800 rpms with a 25M prop...just wondering how high I can go.

Re: Cranking Blank - Deep Cranking (whoza_daddy)

I'd go with the Lamiglas GFP 90 MH.

I can't imagine how heavy and cumbersome a longer version of the BS706S would be. Don't get me wrong, I love my BS706's...but anything longer would be insane.

    Micro or Non-Micro guides?

The reason I ask is I think the benefits of a spiral arent nearly as noticible with the micro's as they are with larger guides.

    Reasons to spiral.

Re: Beginning of EdDavisKy's new flippin stick (PA Officer)

Couple things. First, the micro's do not have an inherent problem with pulling loose from wraps. They do have a problem with builders that have not actually spent the time testing and developing...
