Sorry it took me so long! I measured last night and with the motor in transom saver position it is dead on 25 ft (with swing away tongue open).

I bought the Minn Kota breaker thinking it had the cut off, but it doesn't. You can buy a breaker with the cut off, or add an on/off switch AND the Minn Kota breaker. I didn't like the extra wiring...

I had that problem with mine the first time out, but thought maybe I was accidentally bumping something on the pedal. I'll be fishing all day Saturday, so hopefully I'll find out for sure.

Thanks p1capt! That sounds reasonable, as when it does "stick" if I tap it a little harder the prop will stop turning.
