Fire and/or explosion.
I, too, struggle a little reinstalling the lower unit by myself and at times wish I had a 3rd hand.
Fire and/or explosion.
Sure is. :yesnod:
No issue greasing the zerks on your Optimax, I pump new grease in until I see fresh start to ooze out then stop and wipe the area clean - make that part of your annual service. Be sure to do the trim...
On plane temps will be what they will, thermotstats are bypassed once the poppet opens. Your water pressure should be 10+psi at WOT.
If you're servicing the water pump yourself see this FAQ topic...

It's in this FAQ topic - Oil, Battery, Spark Plugs, Fuel and Fuel Additive Recommendations
Don't take references to minimum octane to mean higher is better, it is not, it simply means no less...
Would we all be so graced Don would be swamped until eternity.
He has "touched" my Optimax, well, remotely. I shipped my rails, injectors, and reed plates to have him wave his magic wand -...

As Don said, ethanol fuel in non-ethanol safe fuel line. I replaced my fuel lines shortly after joining BBC and learning about correct line for ethanol. The original lines in my boat had red or...
