Poorguy, I think the reason your picture is distorted is because you were going too slow "in that particular shot" (1.1 mph). Try to keep the boat at about 4-7 mph for the clearest shot.

I have an LSS-1 question?? Why does the same image of a tree show up on the down scan and both sides of the side scan??

If the side scan beam is angled down towards the bottom at a 45 degree...
