I ran a 200 powerhead on mine quite a bit at one time.
12” plate could fish at 84mph.. took tons of set-up though...
but agree need 12-14” with a 200 on a 20’er...
some 2” spacers should...
Imo all bullets should have a good foil, a bottom plate under the jackplate(the bigger the better) and a big kids ball in the jackplate if you can.
seems trivial but makes a difference...

Sand will work it’s way and get stuck all in the motor, especially the “gravel” sized pellets will block up in stuff and the finer sand will back up behind it.
Sometimes you can drop the lower...
It’s the gear ratio, doesn’t matter the boat brand if it’s heavy loaded with fishing stuff tall gears like that are gonna be a problem.
my old triton tr-21 had a 225 on it with 1.75’s. Used to...
There is a boat in the picture? I can’t seem to see anything but the top right hand corner?
Remember the Promax was doing the same damn thing once, or was it your motor doing that? Crud can’t remeber.
ANYWAY , to the OP it’s gonna be a trigger or stator issue. I thinking trigger from...
Bullet and Allison owners seem to be some of the best around.
Made many good good friends with them too
Right on, I really really like the sho on my fishing buddies skeeter.

20’ Bullet can’t beat a 15” Offshore promax on one. Only...

We had a 78 wrangler 150iirc. Wasn’t very stable.
I’d pick and early starfire over a wrangler any day unless you are dead set on the wrangler looks(to me a starfire looks better anyway?)
My 98 came with a 12” also
Iirc 97 is first year for composite transom.
My 98 had one.

How do they fish for bayous etc?
Say compared to an early 80’s 17’ skeeter etc?
I have been kicking around a 17’ or 19’ boat max for small water fishing narrow bayou’s and backwaters bigger...
They are rockets out of the hole.
Would fire my xb2003 out fishing in shallow junk but got dangerous at speed on that hull. Was fine on my old skeeter and triton at speed though. Might be ok on...
The 2003 when driven correctly can be an amazing rough water boat, have to drive it much differently in rough water than the big stratos, but is “better” imo once you get it.
I loved everything...
I’m not on FB really anymore, but someone years ago turned an old XTB21 into a “flats”
