Jon's profile isn't showing a lot of activity on here, but I can vouch for him.

100% we stay there every spring. Awesome location, easy access to both lakes. A few restaurants close and a gas station. Everything you need.
They don't run that plant like they used too. The netting is really hurting that place as well. The hot ponds will be a thing of the past in the near future.

If your running Lowrance, just wait for the Tour Pro.

You can stow the motor when lowered all the way down, this is different than previous Motorguides. It gives you a little more range than previous 45", it wasn't practical to raise an lower the motor...
Doesn't look bigger than the Ultrex pedal.

I got some like you have, but with heavier gauge wire on amazon. Works great, they are for marine audio applications.

Yes, same as xi5. You can also adjust the pedal tension with the remote, it’s pretty cool.

Any pics of the front driver side lockers. I've seen everything else, but these keep getting skipped.

Last year was down to 20 boats, because the tournament date was moved when Doug's son had a conflict. It really hurt the boat numbers moving the date. Now moving the lake will put the final nail in...
Lots of fish, but not many big ones. Lot's of 2lbers, but it's fun. Just find the rock flats with boulders or rock strips, it's endless in either direction. You'll find wolf packs of 3-10 fish....
The Lucas spray works great. Since it's new, I'd look at a ceramic coat. My friend's Skeeter has it, and it's great. Just wipe down with water and it looks showroom new.

It's far, but Lake Drive Marine is great with Mercs.

Stay away from Grand, big fish kill last few years. Long for numbers and fun, Hubbard for big fish less numbers. Thunder Bay is weather permiting, I hear it blows east at noon everyday lol.

Canals on St. Clair are better than any of the inland lakes for largies.

Watch the weather!!! And get yourself a good map chip, water is high but you can still get into trouble. What size boat?

That eye looks good. Does the mold go smaller? You'll want lighter.

Hopefully they take the next step for trolling motors. All these improvements lately, it'll be interesting to see where our trolling motors go in the next 10 years.

There is a stainless steel wear sleeve on the spindle, you should replace it if the inner seal is leaking. The inner seal rides on this sleeve. Vaults are the same as any other bearing except for...
Yes, that is the proper temporary fix. I talkedto UFP and they recommended Lucas Red N’ Tacky grease, until you can fix properly. The vaults will still hold plenty of grease with a blown seal,...
Canada, come back in April...

St. Clair, Grand Traverse, Big Bay de Noc are all destination fisheries. Burt/Mullet too, but it fishes poor in the summer. I would really like to puddle jump all the little lakes in the UP,...
