Re: I'm stumped. Any ideas ? (Darbster)

The chopper you have ain't gonna run if it ain't worked for the boat. A stock chopper out of the box will not carry the boat, it needs to be Bullet Cut, I told you that at the rally. At the rally, I...

    Re: I'm stumped. Any ideas ? (mercury97)

We seen it at the rally, and it's WAY over trimmed... and the motor was TOO high. I don't care what the measurements are, put the motor on my marks that are on the jackplate and go from there. Don't...

It will run mid to high 80's fairly easy, once you get the hang of it. Light load and bigger prop it will be over 90.

    Congrats man!!!!

I'd jack the motor up a click and use less trim, it should start to drive easier.

    Put some lifejackets on!!!

    Re: 1995 bullet xd20 vs. 1999 bullet xf 20 (Yellow21xdc)

I gotta say, my absolute favorite is the XF. They do not build the XF any more either, the molds were cut up along with the 17, and 19 molds. I grew up in the 19V's, so I love the floor space more...

    Re: New owner (Dewayne208)

Don't think I'd turn it that high if it's stock port specs. The stock porting on that motor will fall off power WAY before you get to 6700 rpms. It may also run better without the 2" additional...

    Re: Setup Question (BULLET21)

Personally, I'd either do one of two things, send the CLE to Titus and have him cut the entire cone off and redo it, or sell it and find you a Sportmaster.

Being a 225 Promax, it more than likely...

    Re: Sporty vs. Torquemaster (biggerbass)

Who coned it? Most of the ones I've seen, you don't need to run the motor as high as you would with a Sportmaster. They are also very trim sensitive. My bet is it was over trimmed.

Re: Sportmaster vs. CLE (John Jackson)

CLE's were great cases in the day, but since the Sporty, there is no comparison! You can take a CLE and have the cone completely cut off and a new one welded on (Titus does this and I'm sure Bob's...

    Re: Sporty vs. Torquemaster (GregA)

The higher limiter would gain you maybe 1-2 mph, but they don't really need to be propped to hit the limiter. Just guessing I'd say not much difference between the two, when setup right. But a 20...
