Caftan, makes sense kinda. Can’t the charge take power from the 36v bank and transfer it to the 12v side? I would expect this to happen when the engine is off.

Regarding the example above, seems like the power pole charge wasn’t working if it allowed your cranker to go dead. You sure it wasn’t a charge issue?
