Flip the bracket that mounts to the ultrex before you install the 360 to it...then it will be on the inside of the trolling motor. It helps my cover fit better on my 98 jag.

I have a 1998 Jag DC and explored this issue some time ago... BCB answer to me was that the performance of the Jag was designed with a 6" jackplate and that a longer jackplate would create too much...

On my 1998 basscat jag, aeration brings in fresh water from outside, recirculation recirculates water within the livewells. sometimes I use aeration plus the freshwater in, to fill livewells...
what year Jag? Remove all of the vent plugs in the prop if there are any...this will help get your holeshot rpms up toward the 3600 range and help. Ben
I currently own a 98 Jag...I have owned it for 18 years. Great boat, rides really good in the rough stuff. It is underpowered with the 200...probably would be lucky to see 65mph. With a 225, you...
I have a 98 Jag...it had same type of surface cracks in gelcoat in the splashwell when I bought it in 2001....still have it today...they have not changed....no problem with my transom...never have...
I use two Go-Jacks under the front axle, then use a Trailer Valet to move it anywhere I want...the Go Jacks remove any resistance to turning.
No, surge brakes are not connected to the car/truck braking system, instead, when you hit the brakes in the tow vehicle, the trailer pushes against the trailer hitch, activating the surge brake...
Butch, most guys install their console SI transducers on their jackplate to prevent damage from stumps and things under the water.
Who wants to buy a $200 transducer very often? not me. I use a...
Chris, I have 1998 Jag DC, Johnson 225HO. I have used Trophy 25, Renegade 25, and Powertec TRO4 in both 24 and 25 pitch. All run good...but I like the powertec the best. I have not tried Fury 3 or...
FYI...I have had the same basscat jaguar for the past 17 years, and my experience has been that I have to do a complete brake system rebuild every 4 or 5 years. So, its just one of those maintenance...
If the boat is well cared for and the engine checks out, you are good to go. I have a 98 Jag DC with Johnson 225HO....71 mph most days....very solid, dry ride in rough water. I would check the...
I still have my 98 Jag, Johnson 225HO...and love it. It is a very solid, good riding, premium-level boat. My digital dash (BP101) still works fine...some have had problems. It's not as fast as the...
I have heard this term used in two ways...and I have both. One holeshot plate is an aluminum plate that covers the bottom side of the jackplate so that water is channeled behind the boat rather than...
I have a 1998 Jag and love it. Mine is good for 71 mph with Johnson 225ho. Comfortable ride in rough water. Some folks don't care for the tackle box space in front of driver console, but it works...

Job and family have me overwhelmed right now...I live on west side of SA...so I avoid I-35 corridor...fish Fayette & Falcon...don't do tourneys right now. Is Canyon worth my time? I've not been...
Hey airborne...I run a 1998 Jag...when I go from 3 blade prop to 4 blade prop, I raise my jackplate 3/4 inch, since most 4-blades can run higher in the water...thus you will get more speed, as long...
I have a 1998 Jag with 225 Johnson...I see 70-72...I would expect this one would do 65ish if propped right. Shoul be a great riding boat. Ben
I have 1998 Jag with Johnson 225HO...my top choice is a 25 pitch Powertech TRO4...great holeshot...71 mph most days. Trophy25 pitch is almost as good. I prefer 4 blades. Blessings...
I use the Carlisle ST205/75R14 on my 1998 Jag trailer (tandem)...previously had Marathons. I love the Carlisle as they run cooler than the Marathons in the Texas heat. BC used the Cooper Cobras for...
