biggest learning curve for me on the ultrex was the foot pressure applied to turn the head. I still turn it too fast sometimes and almost throw myself out. lol

if your jackplate is almost all the way up... thats your problem. run a straight edge along the bottom of the boat and see where it meets the middle of the prop (propshaft). start with it 2" below...

lower your jackplate or get a hydraulic. i had to do that with my old zx202. once I put a hydraulic jackplate on .... night and day difference! i could slam it down for rough water, or raise it up...
