If you run straight mono or floro you may need a little faster action rod. The stretch of these lines plus a more moderate rod would make it more of a chore to work the bait. I prefer rods with a...

This reel accepts a 34 mm spool so you literally have dozens of spool options that will work. It is more of a mag finesse reel with the 1012 in there but you could try a 1016 spool or a mag Z boost...
