Tracker sells more aluminum boats than any other company. Common sense would lead most the believe this would result in more issues being reported, if quality is held constant between manufacturers.
What type of paint did you use?
Why not just use a topside paint? Pettit makes good stuff
60+ inch bottoms are giant for tinboats as it is....

Gotta be careful. Trying to put it into reverse without the motor running can break the linkage.

Yeah, I only fish standing up. I wasn't too worried about weakening the plywood, considering the mount flange is so thin. I'd guess 1/4" at the very maximum.
Just a thought, while you're in there.
My foot always wants to stand RIGHT where the seat post bracket is under the carpet. Drives me nuts not being on even ground.

Not sure if this has been covered, but pressure treated wood also contains coppers that will corrode aluminum.

Unless he really beats the crap out of his boat, I doubt that. The carpet on my 95 Tracker is still like new, and I'm not even that anal about it.
