You can definitely check the throttle linkage on the motor visually to make sure the hot foot is opening to 100% on the throttle.

For our kind of areas, these style boats are hard to beat. A local dealer here sells a lot of Xpress and Excel rigs.
If it’s not cracked anywhere then the dent probably won’t hurt the performance with it being on the side and not on the bottom.
I’d inspect the bottom very well in that area to be sure.
When I changed my oil at the 20 hour service, I went with 5w-30 full synthetic Yamalube.
Very nice ride. In my area (Mobile Bay in Southwest Alabama) a lot of guys run aluminum bay boats for multipurpose fishing, ie bass tournaments, bay fishing, crappie fishing, even near shore coastal...
I totally understand, same here.
Chad I'm chasing something similar in my Xpress X21 250 SHO.
Our boats are different but the issue is similar, I'm running all lithium and struggling to get mine to run what I think it should. I...
I asked my dealer about a blank plate (Smith Motor Company in Hattiesburg, MS) but I decided to go with a Precision Sonar dual graph mount that came with a new plate before they got back to me with a...
This is my first SHO although I have numerous friends with them. The SHOs seem to like a large diameter prop. Currently I’m running a 27 Bravo 1 XS and it handles excellent and runs pretty strong.

Yea, my engine has about 14 hours on it as of tonight (hoping to put an hour or two on it tomorrow) so I’m hoping it loosens up a little after the 20 hours service and full synthetic oil. I haven’t...
Oh yea, I’ve traded trucks over it more than once when I was younger. I’m 50 now so it doesn’t bother me as much as it did in the past but I still prefer to match them.
Yes, I think anything over 80 on the X21 will probably require a supercharger or a really hot tune.

I guess anything is possible but I have fished some strong current for long hours and never came anywhere near killing my 50AH lithiums with a ghost or ultrex.
My last boat had a dedicated 100AH...
I honestly don’t remember but it was pretty obvious which one it was with the blue and white wire. It was laying in the cowling pan toward the front on the port side on my engine.
I am running two batteries total.

The interface cable plugged into the open plug (blue and white wires) inside the cowling. The other end of course connects to N2K network.
I have a new model SHO, not sure if it’s different from...
If I didn’t fish the bay also, I would’ve gotten the X19 but the extra length is nice in the rough bay.
Have you ran it? I’m curious how stiff it is compared to other props for the pitch.
I just pulled the cable from my new 250 SHO to a NK2 network. I think it would be the same cable for a 200 SHO?
The cable is made by Lowrance but of course NK2 is universal so no issues with...
Just an FYI for anyone considering a self latching bow mechanism.
I installed the Drotto on my new X21 and it works as advertised.

The X19 is a great hull design. My son had one of the older narrower X19s (2007 I think) and there are some videos of him on YouTube running on Wheeler Lake in North Alabama in a college tournament...
No I don’t but I’m looking at buying one to try.
have a 27 Bravo 1 which runs great until it just stops pulling (typical bravo style). It is a great handling and running prop but I am trying to...
I run Tuffskinz because of the narrow sloughs I fish with a lot of overhanging limbs
Anyone ran a 27 T-1 on a 250 SHO / X21?
Is it too much prop?
