Will do, thanks!
When I tried to unhitch my trailer from my vehicle today, the jacking wheel wouldn't go down. Actually, it went down until it made contact with the ground, then the handle just spun with no more...
I doubt if it will have any impact. If it makes you feel better, rinse off your grapefruit line with fresh water then store it in a container with coffee grounds for a while. Instead of coffee tubes...
Thanks Bigguyone,
Taking out only one type of lure is definitely a good tip. I did that to force myself to learn to fish the jig & pig years ago, and I eventually won a bass tournament with the...
Capticeman,
Those Pointer 128s look very nice. Where is a good place to buy them? I have great luck with jerkbaits on bass in the Spring.
Fisher, What kind of wire do you use to make you...
Hey Karol,
It's funny you should mention the Bondy Bait. I was at a local outdoor show last weekend and Jon Bondy gave a Muskie seminar there. I talked to Jon at his booth and he said he makes all...
Bigguyone,
I don't have any bucktails yet. Which ones have worked best for you?
Fisher,
It is a Red October Baits "Monster tube", They also make 7.5" Ninja tubes and even a 12" tube they call the "Big Sexy", along with some twister tubes. http://www.redoctoberbaits.com
I...
If so, what is your favorite lure & technique? I've been a bass fisherman for decades, but I just started fishing for muskies a couple of years ago and I've been hooked ever since. There's nothing...
They work great, especially on Lake Erie Smallies. If you buy the Gulp Alive baits, the first thing you need to do is get rid of the original container. I don't care how careful you are with it - it...
I've had good luck with an all chartreuse spinnerbait - head, blades, and skirt. It looks like a chartreuse bomb went off at the end of my rod. It works though.
Thanks guys. I just dropped the boat off to my local marine repair shop. The bad news is that I'm going to miss the smallmouth bass opener on Lake Erie this weekend. I guess I'll have to go turkey...
Any chance that this can be a do it yourself type of repair?
I just drained the lower unit oil from my 1988 Johnson 150GT and it was pretty milky looking. Kind of like coffee with some cream in it. How much of a problem is this? If it's a problem, what do I...
Nice job! The new carpet color is definitely better.
Very nice!
It's very simple, but make sure that your tanks don't have much gas in before you pull the old ones out. Ask me how I know. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/embarassed.gif
Are you positive that it's not the wood or maybe a crack in the fiberglass? When I recarpeted my 364V, I found a crack in the deck that made it feel spongy when stepped on it. I was able to reglass...
Get off as much as you can. I ended up using acetone and razor blade scrapers to get mine off. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. You don't have to get every last molecule of glue off....
Keep us posted. I finished my 364V last year and I am VERY glad that I finally got around to doing it.
I drilled the rod and used a cotter pin, but thanks anyway. I didn't think of ACE.
Simple Green is good stuff. I'll have to try it on spot areas.
I never thought of using a car wash to do the entire carpet, great idea. Thanks!
I found 5/8 push nuts at McMaster Carr, but a bag of them will cost me over $15.00. You're right, drilling / cotter pin would be cheaper. That's what I'll do.
I need to replace the main roller on my trailer and it is held on the 5/8" shaft by a couple of push nuts. How in the world do you get those things off? I first soaked them with penetrating oil and...
