You will not regret buying the Suzuki. Bullet proof motors and that 150 SS is very stout. I have had zero problems with mine other than routine maitanence just like you have mentioned...

I have a 1992 150 SS. No problems what so ever and still runs very strong. Pushes my boat to 60-62 GPS @ 5900 RPM's.
