Thanks for the replies. I’ve heard of the gap growing but not much information on shrinking. Thanks again. Guess that’s another good reason to change plugs once a year!

My motor is a 2009 250 Pro XS serial number 1B751847. I do my own maintenance every year and every time I change the plugs, I always check the gap of the old ones. When the plugs were installed, I...
I have a 721 with poles and a 12” plate. I found the best for my setup is 3-4 on the tape. It comes out the hole pretty quick. I also run both, 3 and 4 blade. The 4 blade needs to be a little higher...
I had this same problem before. I know you said the plugs were changed, but you might want to check them again. If they aren’t gapped correctly it can cause the motor to surge. Also, a friend of mine...
Being some are removing the rod organizer, would someone like to get rid of the starboard side one that fits a 721?
My 721 is a ‘09 with a tube trailer. It’s holding up pretty good for being 9 years old. Not saying it looks brand new, but it definitely isn’t falling apart or rusting to pieces. I do fish brackish...
Does anyone have a boat cover from Phoenix that they are willing to part with? Lost mine and looking for a new/used one.
I’m running a B&B Fury. Had it turned to a 25.5. Best I got was 78.2. The stock 25 & 26 are good. I would say the 25 is more what you need in Florida. I would suggest sending it to Mark and have it...
Check to see if one of your striker plates is missing. Had this same problem and found that one of the striker plates had fallen off. Hope this helps.
Thanks
Can the shaft be cut down a motorguide xi5? I haven't seen any post on the composite shafts being cut down. Any help would be appreciated.
My boat is a 2009 and I just serviced them at the beginning of this year. One cap flew off while at a tournament. Replaced with a buddy bearing style until my parts came in. Think it cost me around...
When I got my 721, it had a 26 Fury on it. The hole shot was ok but with a 25 it was great. I decided to send my 26 to Croxton and have it B&B'd. I also had him turn it to 25.5. I now have the hole...
I think you're on the right track; pulse pump would be first on my list.
I'm running a 17x8 also. Only thing I had to do was raise my fenders a little. Which was easy because the stainless fenders are adjustable. 16" will fit with no problem, as long as it's no wider than...
Look at the skeg on the bottom of the lower unit. If it has a slight offset on the skeg, it's a torque master. I have a 2009 and its black. Gen 1. The prop shaft should also be the "fat shaft" 1.25...

I have a white hull with black Gatorbaks. No marks on the bottom as of now.
Yes. I had something similar happen a couple years back while driving down the road. Lightning hit close while driving on I10 heading to Lake Falcon. Didn't think anything was messed up until I went...
I ran a 27 for the first time the other day. Little slower out of the hole than my 25.5; which I expected. Top end was 76 @ 5700 rpm. My normal prop is a 25.5 Fury B&B by Croxton. Good hole shot and...
Yes and yes. It wasn't hard. Just need to remove the cup holder, cut the cup holder, and install gauge. Glue back in place.
Here are some pics of mine. Not sure if your cup holder is in the same place or not. http://i64.tinypic.com/1zpqfx4.jpg

The gauge is barely big enough for the cup holder. I cut the bottom of the cup holder out and used it as the bezel.
I mounted mine where the cup holder is. It's the best place for me since I don't use the cup holder anyway.
