I am not seeing any recommendation to "replace" head bolts on a rebuild in my manual.
I know rod bolts should be new. Can I reuse the headbolts?
Thanks, Eric:ohwell:
Got these back and installed. They work great now. Awesome customer service!!!!!!!!
Just the board
I can let you know tomorrow. I sent mine in and should have them back today.

After installing two Pro II poles, I can't seem to get the air out. Performed the full extend and the full retract several times for five to ten seconds.
These were second hand units but visually...
Electric motors tend to fail prematurely if not supplied with adequate amperage and voltage. I would recommend you read the installation guide and adhere to the requirements. They will work on 15 amp...
I went to Wal-Mart and got a big plastic cutting board for $12-14. Made measurements and cut it out with a jigsaw. Then took a round rasp/file and smoothed it up. A couple brackets and screws and...
Well I install the new TRD reeds and gaskets (thanks Don), pulled and checked the thermostats, installed a new water-pump kit and a new set of plugs. Headed to Sam Rayburn this weekend for the TTT...
Yes, exactly. The only thing is I don't have a temp guage. I ran it on the hose and muffs till the heads were warm, but the tell tale discharge would not get hot.
Maybe not warm enough?
Compression checked out 90 PSI on five, 88 on the center, port side. Sounds good to me. I couldn't be happier.
Gonna dive in to the reeds tomorrow night. I plan to get the TDR reeds and gaskets...
I have read that the aftermarket reeds need to be changed now and then. The stock metals reeds will run longer, but have bad side affects when they fail. The composite (or carbon fiber, whatever?)...
Today's my lucky day!
Followed Don's procedure exactly. All at 90 PSI but one at 88 (center cylinder, port side). Plugs all look the same.
Gonna dive into the reeds next. Maybe tomorrow...
Great!, Thanks for the quick reply. Off we go git er done!
Lakes are flooded and ramps closed. Can I warm up enough using muffs and garden hose to test compression?
Thanks Guys. Trying to get this done today.
Eric
Sounds like the ten inch plate is the ticket. I am not that good out of the hole.
Thanks Don,
I plan on getting the metal reeds out no matter what, but gonna run compression check this weekend. I have read your FAQ on the topic two or three times over so I do it right. This...
Thanks for all the help
That is what it used to sound like. I will pull it apart this weekend. Is it better to check compression first, or dive in after a reed problem.
I guess the question is, will a broken reed lower...
Lots of smoke and cold miss at idle. I think I am gonna have to build this baby!
Checking compression numbers this weekend.
Any suggestions on performance mods I can do while I have it apart? ...
After changing anything on the fuel system, test with full load before going out. Low volume the thing will run perfect with very lower flow volume. Put it under load and it may fall on its face. Not...
I am not having any issues, but would like to pull them out to inspect. 1998 225 EFI.
Do I need to purchase gaskets or o-ring seals?
Thanks for the help
