I figure I could always put some sealant on each screw then screw them in if necessary to keep water out.

I'm assuming the foam runs the whole length of the boat. I doubt the foam adds more than 5lbs to the overall weight of the boat. There was a wood rib in that channel you see in the picture.that was...
Yes they do. I just finished repairing a section of my floor in my 1995 LS175 and it has sprayed in foam.

So what ya gonna get now? I assume your gonna get another bass boat?
My helm makes a grinding type sound when I'm steering with a load against the outboard like tight turns at some speed on a river. Any thoughts?
Don't have to be on FB to see it. It's a public page.
Very proud. Been a lot of work to get it to this point and more taking place right now. Here's a small photo album of some of the more recent work I've done to it.

Yup. With 136 Procharger on Methanol. Entire car except motor/trans was built in my shop.

I'm surprised there aren't any reports on the fishing in Florida. Well I'm going to put my small report in. I fished the northern end of the Ocklawaha River this past Sunday. I put in at Eureka...
^^^^THIS^^^^ Like I said, my boat is now chine walking since putting on a jackplate and raising the prop 5" over what it was when I got the boat. It's now running nearly 6mph faster and that's...
I have a 1995 Hydra-Sports LS175 with 150 Evinrude that I bought 3 months ago and it was totally stock with the prop to pad being 8.5" at that time. I just recently added a 6" jackplate to and 24P...
I still can't seem to find the right setting. 3P1R seems to be the closest to the RPM's my OEM gauge is reading. 6P1R was way off. Hard to determine if your OEM tach is incorrect when I can't...
Glad to hear this. I thought maybe I needed to bleed the system some more.
Ok, good! I was a bit worried. So it's pointless to clock the wheel because it won't stay in that position for long? LOL
I started out at 1P1R and with the muffs on it was over 1000 rpm's higher than my tach at idle and I know it's not idling at 2200+ rpm's Then I set it to 3P1R and it's still way high. I guess I'll...
Ok, I finally have this system all installed and not leaking. When I first installed it the cylinder was leaking bad. Apparently from sitting for 8 years the seals dried out and even a little Lucas...
I've currently got mine at 3.5" but I haven't been able to run it wide open yet as the lake I go to for testing things has been real choppy lately with windy conditions. I just put hydraulic...
The manufacturer says it will work on all gas engines. But you set it based on how many sparks per revolution. How many does this motor have? The default setting is way off.
Anyone have an idea what setting I should put this on and does it matter what spark plug wire it's wrapped around? I wrapped it around the #6 plug wire simply for ease but I'm not sure that's...
Well I'm in the automotive industry and hydraulic seals are for the most part the same whether it be a cars power steering or a boats. They are all hydraulic based. Tonight I decided to bleed the...
Should the hydraulic steering feel just like a regular cable steering as far as stopping after so many turns each direction? Should you be able to turn it any further and if so does that indicate a...
Any feedback on what prop to pad height seems to work best with these hulls? I have my 6" JP on now and was running it at 4" but just raised it to 3.5" and gonna see how that works tomorrow. TIA
Gotcha. Well tightening the screws stopped the leak so I'm gonna test it again this weekend. I put new thermostats in so if I still have the bog problem this weekend I'll have my friend go thru the...
I may have found an issue that could be causing my bog condition. I kept noticing fuel in my lower engine cover but before rebuilding the carbs I figured it was due to those BB's leaking on the...
