you can also go to your local pet store and by bulk carbon in the jars and also by the mesh media bags they sell here too. Fill the mesh bag with the carbon and toss it in your storage compartment....

I used removall with great results. I was in the same situation that you are currently in. brought the clear off great and didn't damage the gel.
you can also use MR. Clean magic eraser on the dash panels and it will take a lot of the oxidation off of them....They won't exactly look new, but they will look a hell of a lot better....
