Totally different design and build for St Croix...6 scrim bottom=3 scrim top of blank...Someone must have one ...they sold two shipments already :confused2:
Fished the Chatterbound...lighter than expected and also does Spinnerbaits, topwaters and cranks...
Total agreement...I've guided Smallmouth on the Great Lakes for over 20 years and currently am still at it...A Quality copolymer like Gamma Polyflex or Sufix Adv HPE 8# will work if you are going...
No reflection on you Allen, you have been great and understanding since this happened...Just wanted to share our frustration with these kinds of mishaps...AND they keep raising rates  I sent out...
Me too Nick :thumb up2:
I fished a 76 Tat Elite Seth Feider spin stick a lot last fall on the big water for Smallies/walleyes running 12# Nanofil to a 12# Abrazx leader (Zeeb Mussels) absolutely NO issues...Great...
Thats exactly what happened...Kacordy has a new replacement enroute...Caps were stapled and duct taped, rod ends were bubble wrapped, rod blank was plastic sleeved and in a rod glove... USPS did a...
Good analysis...The DC 733C and 744C are "faster" than the Sierras...For me better contact type jig rods. My deeper, sparse grass 3/8oz jigs for Spots/Smallies is the DC 733C hands down with 12#...
I fish Bass, DS, unweighted senko, finesse jigs & swimbaits, tubes etc with nanofil or braid & leaders using the shallow spools. I use the same rod/reels switching to xtra spools with HVis copoly for...
I can tell you that not only is the Skipper good for skipping...I had ALX make me one to 6'8" and I pulled lots of bass to 5+lbs pitching to shoreline pads & grass...Also great for throwing

Just curious...They kinda look like Lews Frames...anyone know who makes them? anyone fish them yet? :confused2:
Which reels? Lews doesn't make a spin reel over $129.99 Did you contact Lews? I haven't had issues like you have but their Customer Service has been awesome (Covid era withstanding)
Too many to list...I fished a December afternoon jigging walleye with a Piscifun Carbon X 3000 and was "blown away" by the smoothness and silky drag. I ve had every reel out there under $300. There...
I have had all those models...I'd take the DX 745 hands down JMHO
well said jasonG...I built rods for some years and now design my own builds...I am a long spin rod devotee and use 3000-4000 reels. The guides need a higher frame to match the (1st) collector guide...
I've had experiences with several of the rods mentioned, personally or through guiding clients that brought them....
ALX McSmalls 76 L+...4 oz rod, a bit faster action than the XP 792...nice...
Its not my fav copoly but Sufix has a patented "G3" winding system that really works...I purchased a cheap Berkley line spooler decades ago for $15...It has paid for itself 100X over... :thumb up2: ...
I've used copolymer/mono for guiding for decades w/o these issues...I also use braid/flo leader a lot...depends on the situation. Braid is affected adversly by wind and current. I fish the Great...
The Decoy is an excellent Spinnerbait, Swimjig, finesse T rig and jig rod... I have caught lots of big Smallies on this rod :)
Pretty Impressive...https://youtu.be/RlcBVqfKwRY
bought new last May...both plastic step up fenders are cracking where they attach to the Bear trailer...waiting for warantee replacements for several weeks. Anyone have issues like this?
excellent...I have multiples
