Run it until it breaks.
Brook's Marine near Chambersburg. 717-263-6963
Post this on the Restoration Board. You'll get an honest answer.
Replace the hose to the water pressure gauge.
Get 26" prop repaired. Raise the motor to 3 1/4" ptp. Part of your hole shot issue is the 10" plate, increased water drag.

To avoid dragging the skeg on the floor, simply trim the motor up.
Replace with new caps or you will have the same problem soon!
When I rebuilt mine ,a few years ago, everything came from Trailer Parts Superstore, Newark Delaware. Rangertrail Parts couldn't get their act together.
If Cool Hubs are properly maintained they are...
Your problem is here. My '98 R 91 had this type of leak and at the cap of the ransom. Remove the rub rail to both corners of the stern and the cap. Reseal with 4200. I didn't have to pull the motor....
3" to 3 1/2" will be to high with out a jack plate. 4" +/- will be a good starting point. You probably need to drop to a 21" prop.
The R93 has 20 oz. carpet.
Use 50 wt. Valvoline per Ranger's recommendation. The Lucas hub oil is much more viscus and cause heat build up which will the hub cap to loosen or dislodge. Ask me how I know?
Trim down or lower the jack plate slightly.
When the registration plate on my trailer started bending from the water pressure when pulling out, I got a stainless steel piano hinge from Ranger and made a hanger for the plate.
The answer will be a new actuator.
I replaced the carpet on my '98 Rangertrail about 10 years ago, the wood looked like brand new.
This is it. I've been running my '98 R91 w/6" plate, 2008 Opti 200 since motor was new,
68-69 comfortable (70 will get your attention). You'll need to ditch the Fury and get a Tempest+ to get lift...
I'd go with a 25" Tempest+. Better lifting prop, and Rangers need lift to perform.
Every three years irregardless of tire brand.
Replace the tach before you wind up replacing the powerhead.
6" plate to liven up your Ranger. Start at 3 1/2 prop to pad.
Don't know about the Honda, but you'll be good with the Opti.
Go with the 31's.
This is the correct answer for most Rangers, though my R91 has the hotfoot mounted near the starboard side.
