All of Alweld's JC jet boat hulls are .100
I have had mine since '02, it is an Alweld 1860 commercial hull with 28" sides. It is before JC's were made and was ordered custom. It will run 2"...
Wetlander or Gator Glide. I used the Wetlander 3L system on mine. It is very slick stuff.

Keeping the boat, motor is going.
I think anything over a 52" bottom is 100 guage. I need the commercial rating for insurance purposes when I mount the 250 on there. Commercial hulls are unrated for hp and weight, so you can run what...
This one was a commercial hull .100 Guage, had it since August 2002. Still doesn't leak after that hit. You can't get a commercial hull under 20 ft now due to government regulations.
It was well insured, no problems there. New one will be a Alweld 2060, have to go to a 20 to get the commercial hull rating. New Mercury 250 Pro XS and tandem axle trailer this time....
Started it back up, Smarcraft gave a system check ok and I ran back to the ramp. Kept it about 4000 rpms or less, I didn't know it was enough damage to total it then. I was about 7-8 miles up river.
Enough dents to total the hull. Busted the shoe on the jet, busted the trim unit, engine mount bracket, swivel tube, and several other parts.
Above Clearwater Lake in Piedmont Mo between Bluff View Marina and K bridge.
Knocking sound is rope being pulled off the deck, first time I have ever had it happen. I think it was a bad omen as you...
Thanks for everyone's input. I was leaning toward getting them anyway, just wanted a little more help deciding. I didn't want to get them and regret it later.
Missouri has some of the most lenient...
Getting ready to order a new 2060 Alweld with Mercury 250 Pro XS and tandem axle aluminum trailer.
I can add disc surge brakes. I have never had them. I don't necessarily need them, at least for...
About every 3-4 months someone asks about the Legend SS. They are not affiliated with Legend Boats, they are built by Weld-Craft and branded Legend SS for Cowtown. Here is a link to the last thread...
I feel comfortable in 4-5 inches, 2-3 for short distances, less than 2 I start getting concerned waiting to hear the scrapes on the hull, lol. I can take off and come off plane in 18 inches if I'm...
Treated is fine if you are using a covering such as gatorbaks or glide slickes, as long as the hull doesn't rest directly on the boards. If you are using carpet or bare get untreated.
I used to have mine in trays under the front deck. One of the straps broke and the battery turned over running through some big waves on the way back to the ramp.
Drove 50 miles home and parked...
Seth is who has the orange Legend SS, here is the original link to it.http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=497476&highlight=Upgraded+rigs+week
You can use pressure treated boards as long as no part of the board touches your hull. Looks like both of these systems will accomplish that.
I put pressure treated boards on mine in 2008 and...
That is what my thoughts were also, it sounds like it runs similar to my flat bottom. His has a lot of surface area with a 6° dead rise and is going to run pretty well flat. It's not really designed...
Take a look at how the boat in this pic is sitting.

I know it is a 2015 model with a 90 Fourstroke, but if...
Nice updates.
Roy, steering on a jet is effortless when it is idling and off. Once you apply power it usually pulls right, this is due to water being pulled from the bottom, spun at 90°, and shot out the back. Get...
Hopefully the miss turns out to be something minor.
On the steering, did you get the no feedback system? If so, it will be a lot tighter than what you were use to, if you didn't have it before....
Best I have hit was 51.3 on gps. Cruise about 35 mph at 4000 rpms, running it there gets a little over 5 mpg. When I had the 02' 115 Mercury Fourstroke on there it was about the same as yours, about...
I usually check in several times a week, mostly browse, till a topic comes up that I think I can help someone out on.
