Ultrex 80/45 non link US2 to 99223? Thank you!
If you've had alarms, I would certainly think that a visit to the dealership to read those would be highly suggested. Too hard to diagnose on a forum, but alarms aren't to be ignored. Better safe...
Normal with the SHO..the stream is not as strong as many would expect. You should always have water coming out, so you should never have "non-existent" though. Weak, that's the word many describe....
I have had some hydraulic fluid leaking from the unit that leaves a "sheen" behind the boat. I have had both trim sub-assemblies replaced, as well as the tilt sub assembly and the reservoir/o-ring....
What "drain" are you talking about? I have a Yamaha SHO with similar oil sheen behind the boat. I've redone my trim and tilt sub assemblies. Not sure the next step. I don't visually see oil anywhere...
Hey Guys,
I have a '12 SHO 200. When I turn the key to the on position, the normal "fuel pump" whine starts, and that noise stops. But there's a sound that continues that sounds almost like...
I wish you guys would have done the video...seriously! That was my first stab at it. Good to know about taking the motor off first! :) Will try that next time.
Hi guys,
I ordered parts from Jones Trolling Motor and they were simply awesome for info/pricing/shipping. I went ahead and recorded a YouTube video of the process [accidentally deployed the gas...
Ok so it's fully charged right now, but that's the voltage number of a battery just removed from the charger. Let it sit for 12 to 24 hours if you can.
After the resting period, you should check...
I don't have your motor, but all trim/tilt relays have a blue and green wire coming from them. So it should be on the front of the motor somewhere with a blue and green wire (blue up wire, green down...
Great, thanks Anderson and Dave! I'll change the first two immediately and will work on the fuel pump filters in the next month or so. Those two look a little intimidating but, hold my beer...
You didn't state if your new battery is a cranking battery, deep cycle or a dual purpose. That would help us figure this out. I was told a true deep cycle or dual purpose is best for that...
I've looked through pages and pages and would like to make sure I'm getting all of the filters needed. I'll use links to Sim Yamaha for ease:

This happened to my 2011 200SHO right before a tournament and it was a cracked block from what my dealer/Yamaha told me. The long block was replaced under warranty (at the time). The amount of smoke...
It’s 73mm with 14 flutes. Do not buy a cap wrench that has 73mm/74mm stamped on it. It needs to be 73mm only.
Great thanks guys, I’m leaning to the T2 so I appreciate the feedback.
Looking for a new prop. Currently have a 25t1 that needs nicks repaired. Since I also want a backup, I’ve heard the new T2 and FXP props need to be worked for real performance. Any real world...
Awesome, thanks gentlemen!
I've searched through the threads and there are a couple main prop shops that most send their repairs to. I plan on sending my 25-t1 to Mark after I put the boat away this year (knicks, knicks and...
Pretty common on 2010-2012 motors, the upper drive shaft bearing is rubbing on the drive shaft after a long/hard run. I do believe Yamaha changed that bearing later on, but the fix for us is to...
This exactly. I noticed my 200 SHO oil level was high, and I'm on a new powerhead and had the dealership perform the 20hr service. After monitoring, my findings are the Yamaha break-in procedure is...
I was idling when my "puff of smoke" happened, shut it down immediately, and after all of the testing/diagnosis, it was new powerhead time. Yamaha sent the fully dressed unit to my dealership and...
A few years back, I came across a thread where you could order the motor broken in. I'm not sure where I read it, or how accurate it was. It also could have been a Mercury page...just not sure. But...
Doug, since I have your old boat, I wouldn't mind paying for the top if you had time to just separate the big bottom piece from the top half. Wouldn't be that much I would think for UPS ground?
I contacted Andy at Sim, and he says they are backordered. Not sure if you can pay for one or not...but hope it works out for ya!
