My best prop i ran on my Corol 202 was a mazco HP4 25P with 10" setback at 73mph...225EFI mercury
Also check your fuel line.. My 225efi with 20hrs did the same thing. The guy didn't use it much and the ethanol ate up the liner on the fuel hose.

change your plugs and get someone to check your tpi setting.. it may be running rich
Man something just isn't right about your speeds and rpm you are turning. When you pull you boat out the water is the prop black with soot?
Check your fuel line. It may be collapsed inside causing fuel issue. My Coral 225efi did the same slow speed and i knew it had more in it. I took my fuel line off that goes from the tank to the motor...
what jackplate setback do you have?
i ran 73mph in my Coral 202 with a mazco HP4 25P.. 225efi 10" jackplate

make sure the wire/connection is not touching the trailer at your small side running lights. My trailer did the same thing when i had it redone and put new wiring. Liked to drove me nuts.

I had one on my 300PM / 20xdc... but the motor came that way from the previous owner,so i can't give you any comparism.. But it did drive great
