If you previously have had something running older software connected to a MFD or sonar unit it will still be in legacy mode until you go to Settings, Sonar, Network sonar mode and change this from...
Evo3 and Evo3S got AT2 support in the latest software release (23.4)
It says: Support for Active Target 2 (standard views)
I don't know what limitation standard views is.
Is the yellow wire in the power cable connected to +12V?
Lowrance is manufactured in Mexico so don't expect to find a legit unit for a low price at Aliexpress.
Point-1 don't support Galileo. A few years ago I was designing a low cost product with initially only a single channel GNSS receiver, we could configure it for GPS and GLONASS. I was testing it in a...
In the second screen shot the average SNR of the 4 best satellites is 41.5dB, this is far too low for Point-1. Something is wrong, it can be mounting position electrical noise or a bad Point-1. The...
The Lowrance 83/200kHz transducers wear out much faster than Lowrance 50/200 kHz and Airmar transducers.
83/200kHz transducers have a small element and is driven pretty hard to get good...
Go to Settings, System, Satellites
Check at the bottom of the page that the correct position source is selected.
What's the SNR reported for the 4 best satellites and what is it for all...
Are the Ethernet problems still present when upgrading to 23.3-67.3.26?
The difference between Point-1 and Point-1 AP are the time constants for the filtering of some of the data, the heading from Point-1 AP is much more dampened than the standard version. Point-1 AP is...
The assumption it's M12 Ethernet is based on me zooming on a picture with relative low resolution.
Third party cables will probably be 25-75 USD.
Yes they are rated IP67 which means waterproof to withstand 30 minutes at 1 meters depth. These connectors are also mechanically very robust. Cables are available from multiple sources
There are also variants of M12 combining Ethernet and power
Looks like a 1Gb M12 waterproof industrial Ethernet connector
There were rumors that Simrad NSS Evo3S would get an upgrade to Neon, it has sufficient memory, but I suspect the processor is not powerful enough to run the Android based Neon. Neon for Evo3S is...
Surprising that Lowrance is coming out with a new NOS (Linux) based unit and not a Neon (Android) based unit. Lowrance Pro is probably a similar upgrade from Live as what Simrad NSS Evo3S was to...
You can use 64GB cards if you format it as NTFS.
Backup your waypoints and perform a full hardware reset.
Only the 12" version of the GO series will share sonar and chart cards in case you plan for a multi screen setup. It will network and share with both Simrad and Lowrance units.
I would add alarms, tracking units and diesel heaters to the list, but at least diesel heaters are probably not common among the members here:wink:
I have it on a HDS Gen2 button unit. It came during a very hot period. I haven't done anything to fix it.
For Carbon and older units the GPS performance is far from impressive so adding a second Point-1 can make sense if you want the exact position for both front and rear transducers.
NSX is a mid range unit, like Simrad GO and Lowrance Elite FS. It's not comparable to HDS Live (or Simrad NSS Evo3(S)) when it comes to functionality and performance.
Currently no data are shared...
HDS Live is comparable to Garmin 8400/8600xsv when it comes to functionality and performance, not a $900 7" EchoMap. Garmin 8400/8600xsv starts at 10" while HDS Live starts at 7".
Elite FS is the...
