I did mine solo , most of my issues were due to bad grounding. I saw a few decent tutorials on YouTube if that helps your effort. FYI you don't need a "kit"

Ranger sells a SS hinge. I posted the part number a few seasons ago. Not sure you need it, since it is a tight fit.

One giant thing is just to keep all of the boat covered when in storage ( boat and fenders are covered). Its been three years since I did a wet sanding and it actually keeps looking better every time...
