Some of the ones I have seen have pegs that fit into holes in the lower part of the transom support and go over some bolt heads or nuts up on the engine side , seems a little more stable. My 4S does...

That's where I got the Yamaha on e bay but have not seen the domed Mercury letters.I'll have to check when i get ready for that.

I've had them on my Yamaha four stroke and now my Mercury four stroke no issues. I like them just from the standpoint while on my battery maintainer no power slips through to any electronics.

Exactly what I was talking about. Believe it is the same thing that holds the transducer pads on the hull if you use those instead of drilling to attach that.

Or you could buy small cable clamps that have the 3M adhesive pad on them to route your cable through and then no need to drill into your fiberglass or anywhere else and chance water eventually...

I'd take that view all day long if it came with my Z7 Sport! :thumb up2:
