So, I'm finally getting around to addressing the bow graph unit issue - power cycling (bouncing) due to voltage drops throughout the day (Anytime the livewell pumps cut on about 1/2 into a tournament...
I’m in the process of preparing to do this now. Bought the enhanced power wiring loom run from BassCat for the bow graph. Little to no access in the bow for grabbing the existing graph power wires. I...
Absolutely do this!
You'll be fine either way, but I love my BassCat Puma! I love their customer support! I'm doing a bit of refurbishment on my 2011 right now - just replacing little odds and...

Valid 11/20-12/2/2019 according to their site. Glad I waited a few days to place a largish order.

When did Carbon Fiber become the standard reed type (Material) in the Optimax line?
I only ask because I had a 2006 225 pro xs that happened to have the metal (alloy) reeds in it from the...
This... Who in the hell is driving these things so poorly that they are 'hooking' constantly??? I've had my Puma for over a year without issue.
The previous owner made it a point to explain to me...

My current setup sounds great!
OK. I did download and install the latest software update for both units. I also picked up a newer navionics chip from an advertiser on this site (He was clearing out 2016 chips). Software and...
Some people!
Congrats! Really cool.
I called them and they sent out the replacement part free of charge. I swapped out the parts last night. Haven't had a chance to test it out much, but it does feel better and sounds good.
Glad to see this post, Rick! Good news for sure as I definitely want my next boat to be a BassCat as well!
BTW ~ What's it going to take to get a BCB dealership down here in Tampa, FL?!
I had a 2006 Nitro 911 CDC, and I loved that boat (It was my first bass boat). The hull layout was great and immensely fishable with 2 anglers - heck, even 3 anglers. It was a solid hull for sure,...

The trolling motor transducer is just the standard small duck shaped puck. Cheap OEM type that the smaller units come with.

I'll have to snap some pictures this weekend. Didn't have any reference shots handy to post. I'm not sure if I've got the LSS1 or not. I don't remember it being that big.
Hi,
I have a 2011 BassCat Puma that still has the original electronics it came with - HDS 7 Gen 1 at the bow and an HDS 8 Gen 1 at the console (Networked through and early StructureScan module...
Did the same thing Tuesday evening and this thread was helpful!
Mine starting doing this - noises during the cast. I just broke mine down and the clutch cam plate is broken. The gears appear to be OK, but it was making grinding noises like the gears were slipping...
Love mine. 2011 Puma w/ 250 Pro XS. It has around 300 hours on it. Solid hull. Have driven more than a few rangers in the past, and the Puma is on par and then some depending upon how you typically...
Wife got me one for my birthday. I don't really understand folks complaining about the handle as mine feels fine. Love the reel. I did order some bearings for the handle and the level wind - they are...
My wife bought me a Curado 71HG for my birthday, and I'm really digging that reel. She probably paid $200 for mine. At $150ish price point, I'd definitely buy one or two more.
It is a great reel...
