Look, TNtriton is right....tritons like their motors high...because of the way the hulls and chines are designed. your motor needs to be set at about 2 3/4 in below pad and run a 24 pitch trophy...

I could get more with my 26 tempest but dialing boat in with 26 trophy

If it hits the rev limiter at 5750 then my tach is off about 500 rpm.....I hit 68 this weekend with a new 26 trophy....23 lb of water pressure.....0 rooster tail...but you definitely have to drive...

how is the best way to check my tach? I guess I can take it to my mechanic!

That's what I'm running and getting too many rpms ...the motor is low I don't know how far below pad yet but looks very low.I can handle the chine but at a loss for speed
