While replacing the oil pump wiring I found a black wire that looks like it runs to the trim gauge broken in half. Going to repair that and I think it will fix the trim issue. Will update later on....

I did but if the wire is just a jumper from the pump to the hookup under the cowl there should be continuity with key on or off. Correct?

So I went and checked for ground from the switch to the hookup for the pump no ground when switch was moved. I then followed the wire from the pump back through the rigging to the inside of the cowl....
