The Combiner 200 and the Trollbridge come in 2 models, lead-acid and lithium.
The lead-acid version is not compatible with any lithium batteries but the lithiium version will work with lead-acid...
You can peel back just enough strands until the last few inches are down to 6 gauge, and cut them off. Tape it up before and after cutting so they don't come loose.
If you are using 4 or 6 gauge wire it doesn't make any difference because the manufacturing variations in the battery characteristics are greater than any wiring imbalance.
What would help is, for each battery:
Battery voltage sitting disconnected?
Battery voltage with a load on it such as a light bulb?
Did the light bulb light up?
Battery voltage with charger...
The Trollbridge 36 which can keep the trolling batteries charged without shore power is only compatible with three 12 volt batteries.
NO. The 56 amps goes through BOTH batteries. It can't go any other way because they are connected together in series so what comes out of one battery has to go into the next.
If they were in...
If you want to add the Trollbridge 12X24 that keeps your batteries charged without shore power, it is only compatible with two 12 volt lithium batteries, not a 24 volt battery.
If you want to use the Trollbridge 36 so you are independent of shore power charging, it will only work with three 12 volt Lithium batteries.
Using the Trollbridge system and arriving back to storage with fully charged batteries will give you a head start.
That is normal.
The epoxy of the lithium version has a blue tint to the color.
The Trollbridge operation monitors the ability of the alternator or charging source to supply the charging current...
Note that the Trollbridge 36 LITHIUM that charges the trolling batteries from your alternator is only compatible with 3 X 12 volt batteries.
The Yandina Trollbridge 24 and Trollbridge 12X24 automatically connect the two batteries in parallel when the trolling motor is not in use. That way BOTH batteries are available for house loads and...
Keep in mind that if you want freedom from shore power charging by using the Trollbridge 12X24-Lithium it is only compatible with two 12 volt batteries.
Everything is working as designed.
When the lithium battery is fully charged the BMS protects the battery from overcharge by disconnecting it.
The voltage spike when it disconnects can be a...
Charge them on the run with the Yandina Trollbridge 12X24 and you won't need to take them home, they will be fully charged by the time you're back to the trailer.
Andy can also get you a good price on the Trollbridge 36 Lithium version so a single output charger will charge the lead-acid starting battery and the 3 lithium trolling batteries.
Yes, you can charge them in parallel but they cannot be left in parallel when not charging or the lithium battery which runs at a higher voltage will discharge itself into the lead-acid battery.
You...
Keep in mind that if you want to charge the trolling battery with up to 100 amps while on the run, the Trollbridge 36 Lithium Combiner only works with three 12 volt batteries so make sure the...
Yes but turn it off after use or if the engine is not running.
One of the connections on the third battery is bad.
A PowerPole is not a source of power, it just distributes it. You only have the charge you started with and the alternator output while in use. A power pole can't deliver more than that.
Since...
Recheck with an accurate meter.
When using the Trollbridge 12X24 you can use one of the two 12 volt trolling batteries to run house loads. When the trolling motor is not running, the Trollbridge 12X24 connects the batteries in...
What is the voltage on the battery when it is not working?
Since the trolling batteries will already be charged by the time you're back to the trailer, all you would need is a portable charger clipped on the starting battery to top-off and maintain all 3...
