N82 Tactical and Remora are good holsters. I've tried several different brands of holster, and the one that is by far the most comfortable for IWB is N82.
Find a local hunting and fishing forum where guns are allowed to be sold in the classifieds. FTF transaction with typically good guys that share the same interests.
If for strictly home defense, you can't go wrong with a Beretta 92FS or Glock 17. Both are larger framed guns, 17+1, reliable, and accurate. Go shoot both and see which one you like best.
