I have the same motor and had similar problems. Mine ended up being the carbs were out of sync. Took the tech almost 1hr to get everything synced and now it runs like a champ.

I had similar results in calm water. I ended up adjusting the boat scale in the settings menu and updated the software in the unit via Bluetooth and now it is much better!
