Here is a video from lake Ontario with the PS30 transom mounted like the first video.
Says it’s for shallow water. Any info on depth limitations? Looks like a decent option for trolling using a transom mount.
I am in the Buffalo area. Primarily fish walleye and salmon but some friends are really getting me into musky fishing. I have GPSMAP 8412 and 7608 with GMS10, gt54uhd, PS30, PS31, and lvs12 all...
Just ordered one from Garmin. $43.49

Has anyone tried mounting the PS30 like this for trolling? Looks promising. Could adjust the beam angle to look at baits port and starboard. Looks like...
Does it have a quick release mount for those who have to store the boat with a cover on?
If you are going to network them, how about an 8612xsv and an 8412? Could save $600

I mounted mine where the whole transducer was skimming. The left corner is lined up with the bottom of the boat. Caused a MAJOR rooster tail. Was like a wall of water angled right at the main...
I was worried that may be the issue. Unfortunately I just sold the 741xs, 70s, and GCV10. It's not a huge deal since the second unit is at the stern for trolling. I've gotten in the habit of using...
Thank you for the suggestions. I'm going to be removing the GCV10 and replacing with the gt54uhd. Going to have to reconfigure the marine network. Every port in the GCV10 and GMS10 is taken up. It's...
My garmin network consisted of 741xs, 721, 70s, gcv10 with gt-30, gms10, PS30, PS31 and gt-23. All transducers could be used on any unit with gt-23 plugged into the 741xs (8 pin blue connector). I...
I have both the PS30 and PS31. I only have experience thus far with the PS30. I am just about finished with the install of the PS31 but life has gotten in the way and haven't had a chance to finish...
Is your battery fully charged? I get a transducer not connected message when voltage drops. Even when trolling and the alternator is keeping the charge up, if I bring up the electric downriggers I...
Will do but may be a week or so until I can get the time to mount it.
Got the PS31 this past week with a da ducer with quick detatch mount. Just going to leave it wired and lay it down in the bow when putting the cover on the boat. May get another quick detatch mount...
I am so impressed with the PS30 I'm already looking at adding the PS31. I have a Minn Kota Terrova but it looks like mounting on the shaft wouldn't be possible. I'm not too keen with mounting below...
Does the 3D view take a little while to load for you? On mine you can watch it do a sweep but when it fills in it just runs really slow, like an internet page with a slow connection. The bluechart...
Finally made it out again. This time was Lake Ontario trolling for trout and salmon. The panoptix does a great job tracking the downriggers weights, nothing surprising there, but it also tracks the...
I have four on the transom. Currently a PS30, gt23, gt30, and fish hawk. Haven't had any issues but haven't used the fish hawk with this set up yet. Last year I had the gt30, tm150m, p66(furuno), and...
Would like to see a pic if you ever make one. I moved my PS30 as high as I could based on how I have it bolted. Will see how that works out. Have to fix my kicker first. Bad impeller and having...
Would be nice if garmin made a transducer spray shield for the panoptix like they do for the other transducers.
All the networked units (741xs, 721, and 70s) look and function exactly the same. The home screens are all identical. The panoptix is a selection on the home screen of each unit. I was concerned when...
So Mother Nature was finally kind enough to let me on the water. I had finished mounting transducer boards, transducers and wiring earlier in the week. The panoptix is quite impressive. It adds a...
