Use 20lb floro but have used straight braid. I’ve never had a frog or swimbait on braid snap and go flying,maybe lucky but large sample size.

I use a 3/8 or 1/4 buzzbait a lot but really like the 1/2 for windy days. I think the head shape does distribute the weight differently.
