yes, there is a small vampire drain pulled from the GLS10...
for an entry point Livescope unit, just look for a gently used EchoMap93UHD (Not the new UHD2 model) I think the LVS34 is worth the added price vs the 32...
Why would Garmin need to release something new right now, Humminbird and Lawrance aren't putting any pressure on them as their Live Imaging isn't as good.. I think Garmin still has some improvement...
I always do 2 clicks up for forward, I think that's what Garmin says to do?
THIS
If I was starting fresh, i'd get the UH2 unit (unless you want the higher end models) Garmin is obviously moving towards a completely wireless boat network and the UH2 series will ensure you're...
I'm just powering the 106sv screen and running a LVS12, so the powercord from in the box is all I need, I just don't need all the cable length...
Good to know, thx for the response!
I want to shorten my 106sv power cord to only be about 12 inches long (for an icefishing bundle) any issues doing that? of course I would still keep the inline fuse...
Check Etsy, there's a guy selling replacement knobs for $5 or $10 for a SS version....
Sorry, I've since sold my LVS34 and purchased a new LVS34-if
it will work, just know you're sacrificing image sharpness for the increased range... also know you'll likely need to drill a 10" hole for ice fishing with the LVS62
Looking for a gently used cradle/bail mount for a Garmin Ultra 106sv. (Garmin part #
010-12841-00)
if you have one to sell, shoot me a PM
same everything except what the single cable is made of...the Ice Fishing version is a silicone cable vs the plasticy feel of the original LVS34, so the cable is much more pliable in the ice cold...
You can MacGruber a smartphone to screen mirror the camera app to a tv....otherwise you need a GPSMAP unit
This 1000%, this is especially true for ice fisherman, I suspect you'll see an increased resale value of the original UHD models moving forward because of its low amp draw...
This is perfect!
I have a like new LVS34 transducer that I would like to swap for the Ice Fishing version with the different cable material that is more pliable when used in cold water, the Ice Fishing version wasn't...
I’m also going through this struggle with 10” units… the Echomap 106 I currently use vs the GPSMAP 1022. I only use it for Livescope and it must be portable as I use it for ice fishing in the winter...
these are wish list items for me...I realize they are not realistic at least in the short term...
I would like to see the elimination of the GLS10, put that processing power in the head unit itself, wireless transducers would also be nice but I realize that's likely a long ways away...
no way, those were just re-hashes of the existing technology to make some money during the covid years, all they did was increase the size of the elements used...
yes
if they did, they would come out at iCast in July 2023 or the Bassmasters Classic.. I've been thinking Garmin has been holding off releasing Livescope 2.0 the past 2 years due to the covid...
Tyey're identical except one box has the current GT56 transducer and the other has the 4+ year old GT54 transducer....It's a shame what Garmin has done the past 2 years for whomever paid the premium...
