They are my preferred blank. I wouldn't say they are soft for what they list them as. The power ratings are very accurate in my opinion.
70-75 works best for me. Most importantly is to find a temp you can easily maintain every time. You will learn how the epoxy behaves at that temp which will give you consistent results.
Agree, the SIC is overkill.
I have use the Berkley as well and have been happy with it. Recently I tried the suffix and it seems to be very good as well.
Looks like ebay is the best place.
They are a lightweight and sensitive blank. They build very easy and if you want to add some bling the perfect fit components from Fuji work great. The RV stripper guide works well but I don't see...

you may try adding some rubber bands to the v blocks on your hand wrapper to put a little tension on the blank to keep if from rolling back on you.
I had one come loose that was an exposed blank seat. I took put a few drops of thin CA in around the opening it worked great. Still holding a couple years later.
I use the PAC Bay. As most have stated most wraps for bass or lighter rods are still done by hand. If there is a long single color wrap on the butt then I will use the power. But it is great for...
I had an ALX and was very disappointed. I also have several sx, premier, and winch Abu's that are great. I tried to tune the ALX for 2 days and could never get it to cast with any distance and...
Cant comment on the NFC, but I have built several hydra blanks and they are a very sensitive blank.
I had a good time as well. I scored a few good deals on some Liberty and Rod Geek blanks. Also, picked up a few of the clearance blanks from Mud hole. Purchase several reel seats, and EVA to make...
Alconite will work great for all bass rod set ups. Kigan Coalite are equal to the Alconite in my opinion. I use them both on a regular basis. Hard to beat the Fuji ACS or ECSM reel seats buy a...

I would cover the basics then see what you think you need from there. Any of the name brand wrapping stations should be good. Power wrapping takes some practice just like anything else but if you...

Hydra blanks are really nice. I have never received a hydra blank with a decal I think I have built 4 or 5.
Agree with the Hydra FL5
