If you have a 21’10” Bullet and your going to put a 250 hp motor on it you need the Torque Master lower unit.

I ended up running the boat 115 mph, I have another prop on the way so with any luck it’ll be a little faster….we’ll see.

New video with a 300R on a 20CC Bullet.
The extra knee brace was put in the 1996 hulls and newer.
He’s a good guy.
About a year ago there was a white/peacock/silver 17Vee for sale. This boat was the last 17’ Bullet that was ever built, I delivered it to the dealer when it was new in 1994. I think the dealership...
The 20CC is a solid 5 mph faster than any other 20’ models while running solo, the 20XRD is faster than the 20XDC when running solo, but the 20XDC is faster than the 20XRD when 2 are on board.
Another modified 300 Drag with the same prop, but different gearcase. The boat was a light built 21Vee, which it hard to run real fast due to the small front deck and huge floor area.
The 119 MPH was with a 1025 lb 20CC with a modified 300 Drag motor with cut down 1.87 gears in a small xr6 coned lower unit turning a 28 Lighting ET at 9300 RPM's
I’ve run several 20’ers 114-119 MPH...119 mph the fastest 20’er. I had a 17CC that would run 122 MPH and a 21’10” that would run 111 mph
Not the fastest Bullet, but a very light carbon fiber/ Kevlar boat.
With a true fishing load it’s a 78-80 mph boat.
Lolol I was kicked off because I didn’t agree with him when he was 100% wrong about many things (which is quite often). He has learned what little he knows about Bullet boats and setup on the...
No Duel console 21SST.
Congrats Lee!! If everything goes well I should be able to retire 8-10 days after I die.
I was told that from from Mercury when we were at Lake X testing the 300R. I gained speed and it kept pulling all the way to 6400 rpms until the rev limiter kicked in. I was also told it was putting...
Mercury and all other manufacturers rate the horsepower at the propshaft not the power head like some people do. The manufacturers have to stay within 10% of what ever horsepower the motor is sold...
Raising the rev limiter on the new 300 hp V8 motor should make more horsepower since it’s still pulling at 6400 rpms. If the motor makes more horsepower power it can’t be sold as a 300 HP motor....
I was told by Mercury the new 300 V8 keeps pulling (making horsepower) all the way to the rev limiter where the old 300 Optimax motors stopped pulling around 5900-6000 well below the rev limiter.
Lolol yes I was sitting in a tree when I made the post...lol.
I said the 250V8 and the 250XS Optimax were about the same as far as top end goes, the hole shot and midrange of the V8 will destroy the Optimax. The 300R is about like a 300X on top end but the mid...
Did you weigh yours without the trailer?
I would say a 21XRD is around 1375 lbs and a 21XRS is around 1475 lbs. The newer XRS and SDC are around 3 MPH slower than the 21XRD and 21XDC. The boats are weighed with a Rapidjack plate, seats,...
