The 54 when dialed in is a fine tranducer. Never used or seen a 56, but most say it is better. And yes you can have the tranducer and livescope at the same time. They use different ports.

Just put 300 lbs in freezer. Got 3.28 a pound plus some time invested. Grain feed for 2 weeks, butcher hangs for 2 weeks, and vacuum packs everything but hamburger meat.
