Based on a video I came across I coated plain pine boards with fiberglass resin to seal them. It leaves a polyurethane like finish that hopefully will protect the bunks.

Agreed. There are numerous shallow flats that can be troublesome, especially if the lake level is low

I believe that most of the lake is now closed off for waterfowl season. The east ramp and part of the east arm is the only area open for fishing until the waterfowl season is over.
