went to order a new sterling yesterday at the houston boat show, was told by the dealer- no more sterlings...they have not answered his calls to the factory for months

Right, there is also weight reduction in the steering favoring Verado and its a wash. But I've been running 2 strokes since 1972and should probably stay with them. Just been out of fishing 8-10 years...
IndianaGambler, you are right, 2 power poles do not weigh 140lbs. nor does a tank of oil, but all weight eliminated adds up. Such as Sterling moving the batteries forward. I want to make the best...
