[QUOTE=Idaho Sandman;10458680]I avoid that by using the screw pin for the nose with a weedless finesse wide gap hook. Much better action as well.[/QUOTE

I am skipping docks/house boats and the Zoom Super Fluke doesn't want to stay put after either catching a fish or several "rough" skips.
I also have noticed here lately many of the baits do not...
I have been using Zoom brand Flukes for years but would like to try some other brands, looking for durable and easy to work on top.
My family and I are packing for a week in Destin Florida, would like some suggestions on places to eat and things to do other than loungng on the beach.
We are staying in Water View Towers, I...
Not just Texas,..I would think every state would have laws against cheating/deception to win money?
trench boxes,...placed in trenches/holes when workers are present to prevent a wall from falling in on the workers.
Hey guys,...my son is currently on Watts Bar fishing and is really struggling and I know nothing about the lake to offer any help.
He is fishing the area around highway 58 bridge and says the...
We are a great nation not because of our land but because of our people. Open borders dilute our principles and, with time, will make us a larger version of the countries they tried to get away...
Pit Bulls are the most missunderstood of all dog breeds and this leads to them eating many of their owners.:crying:
Need to be bouncing around on a hard bottom, you will get most bites when the crankbait hits a rock. Rip rap and rocky, flat points are excellent. Figure out how deep the crankbait runs with you...
What is the difference between the 6.0-6.2?
I pull with a 6.2 and have been impressed compared to my last Ford 5.4, even getting better fuel mileage. It seems redundant that GM offers a 6.0 and a...
I understand how they work but alive is alive correct??
It seems many people are impressed/excited about the new livewell design used by Vexus, but to me it is a solution looking for a problem.
In my 25 years fishing tourneys have not had a problem...
I spent all of Monday on hold with Lowrance,...and I mean all day Monday. I would be on hold for 30-45 minutes when someone would answer and start saying they could not hear me and tell me to call...
I am not sure why a fish would wonder about that thin green line coming out of the baits head and not that big metal hook coming out of its rear end?
Top two would be a toss up between Clunn and KVD.
It is really hard to compare them, KVD is a high energy "make a lot of cast until I find them" type of fisherman and Clunn is more of a "thinker"....
I have been replacing some of my older reels with Daiwa Tatula CT reels and really like them except for one problem,...I accidently adjust the centrifugal brake when I cast. I normally set the brake...
MLF= catch as many as you can as fast as you can.
BASS/FLW= you only get 5, make them count.
I prefer to watch guys figure out how to catch 5 big fish more than 50 little ones but I understand...
A couple of years ago I ran into a man fishing just for fun,...thought it was odd so I asked him about it and found out there was a small group of "just for funners" in my area. Just when you think...
Over 12lbs test - Big Game
Under 12lbs. test- P-Line CX(Not CXX,...that stuff is like fishing with copper wire!!!)
What about Blake?? Does he still post???
Very true!!! I see them used most often to increase negative trim but you can certainly "flip" them and increase positive trim,...more often than not people just install trim extenders when needing...
To increase negative trim on boats with not enough transom angle. Better holeshot and less "porpoising" at low-mid speeds at the expense of positive trim and top speed,....in most cases.
I have owned and or fished out of just about ever boat brand out there over the last 25 years and if they all cost the same I would purchase a Ranger 520, if the quality is the same as before Johnny...
