i think the promax prop is designed for really fast boats, like 75 mph plus with light loads. they dont seem perform well for general use. i bought a so mylas S3 new super bow lift 15.25 dia heavy...
you only get the coned bushing with the kit for surface/ piercing usage. yes 100 lbs. i dont think you need it for under 50 mph rigs. i think there are 3 different kits available all flo-torgue
t hat trophy should eat that fury up! somethings off. my trophy my best prop, betterthan custom worked high $$$$ ones. good lift, all around and i run it high on plate
you might have to check thrust washer. it should fit snug in prop hub and space propon shaft so lock washer/ nut seats correctly, no play or wobble. a thinner t washer moves prop foward, closer to...
imo a trophy would be fastest, a 24p just my experience, i run a 24 tr @ 6000 78mph gps. 1.87 jackplate way high.
TRUE,the sloas is softer material, maybe thats why they dont sling blades like mercs hi-tech alloy! hummmm...
A trophy is hard to beat, and theres tons for sale. my favorite is the scorpion. they do run 2'' stiff overtons has a sale 319.00 i dont know about a 22''? i think they make one.
YES i wish they made a 4 bld scorp. i wouldbe first on line 2 buy one. overtons had a sale 319$. maybe gone now..
they dont make a 4 bld scorpion. the 4 blade totatly different prop. glad u like it, i love my 3 bld s3.
Scorpion by solas there 15.24 dia. they come with small vent holes, just for location. i drilled them to 3/8 easy with a power drill. u could try it box stock. ive heard guys drill em 1/2''. cost...
yes the scorpion runs 2'' stiff. a24==26. great prop amazing alll around lift. killer top end up high. fasteest of all my props! a 22 would turn like a 24
[QUOTE=T-Bob;10240650]So far only 4 blades. I haven't ran a tempest yet. I only throw blades after a high speed run. Anything over 85+ seem like a blade will come off the next trip out.
I haven't...
I WAS going to say try a scorpion. the softer ss is the key. IMO. SCORPION is my best all around winner, lift, top end super.i can run 78 thats it.
YES they run 2'' stiffer and yes the metal is softer. to compensate the blades are thick, making the prop heavy. i run a solasscorpion and love it. super lift all around and great top end. im not...
the big diameter of scorp is a plus.
i would swap the 24 scorp in for a 22, which turns likeva 24'' i run a 24 but light hull 78-80 @ 6000. scorp has super lift and fast. turns same as a 26 merc.
if the mfg. used a tad extra hardner in lay-up with age glass will shrink and a hook could slowly develope, no easy fix, 1/2 gap but over what distance? if its a 4 ft straight thats a big, big hook....
DONT THINK thats a good idea, or safe.
ill put the scorpion up against any popular brand. every review read gives it a 10+!
i think rework would be money wasted. the prop is outstanding, as is.
i run a stock scorpion on my powercat and love it. super all around lift and top end. there all stiff by 2'' a24 turns like a 26'' for the price there a deal. never heard any neg reviews i dont...
DONT understand why you cant trim out enough? is your mercury switch killing ign? my v6 will trim completely out at any speed!..
BOBS 4in1 conv manual j plate can adj for 6' neg angle but only 4'' set back i bought 10'' wedges am confident they can take the strain my rig is hard to plane only 16' with 2.4 220. 4 1/2 bolts...
