I got the Xact contours for my current rig and like them better then the weather techs in the last one. The weather techs were the harder plastic and very slippery. The softer rubber is nice.

Another vote for the Rec Tec. I have the RT-590 and it has been awesome. Very well built compared to my buddies woodwind. I have also been really impressed with customer service.

Is it a rear one? If so the ebrake shoes cold be holding you up as a thin layer of corrosion builds up on the rotor where the shoes fit in.Usually a good scraper and some penetrating oil takes it off.
