The motor in a 1989 Evinrude E150STLCEM 150XP
I have an 85 Ranger 370V bass boat for which I need to replace the shift cable. Can anyone tell me what length cable I will need and a part number if possible? Thanks
Just wanted to give a quick update on this issue. I FINALLY got time to work on my boat last weekend. Swapped out the rectifier Saturday and spent all day Monday on the lake. Looks like that did...
Thanks for all of your input and suggestions. I've been out of the loop for a while. It may be worth mentioning that I switched to Raymarine graphs a year or so ago after my Hummingbird died then...
If it is over voltage, likely a bad regulator?
I upgraded the wiring in the battery compartment. I found a few splices that didn’t look good so I just cleaned them up. I will check the settings in the graphs tomorrow. It would be nice if that’s...
Hey Art or anyone with knowledge on this issue. Quick question. My issue with both of my graphs shutting down has returned. At idle they will stay on. It’s usually happens at some point after I get...
Just wanted to give a quick update on this topic since it had a few of you scratching you heads. Went out for a day of fishing last week after having replaced the cranking battery. Graphs were...
Ok. Got home today and found that the yellow light on the charger for the cranking battery was blinking yellow indicating a bad connection or battery. I jerked the battery out and took it to...
Will do :thumb up2:
Ok so I guess I'll try to rule out the charger first and go from there. I have a spare regulator if it comes to that.. Thanks
I did check the battery after the TM battery was installed. 12.8v engine off, 13.2v running. Does that sound about right and may indicate that the regulator is ok?
You say hooking the wires to the wrong posts could cause damage. Where would that damage likely occur? And yes, the console graph is wired straight to the cranking battery with no connections,...
When I replaced the TM battery I didn't remember how the old one was placed in the tray so I took my best guess and it was wrong. Like I said, I don't know much especially when it comes to power. ...
. I appreciate your input. I’m sure we’ll figure it out. More than likely it’s something I did. I don’t know much but thanks to you guys I know a heck of lot more than I did.
I’d just replaced the other TM battery in April. Started having motor issues shortly after that so that battery had very few hours on it.
Sorry for the repeat messages. I didn’t think they were going through. Just now updated.
I’m not sure what “The Hill” is but I’m in!:thumb up2:
I don’t know what “The Hill” is but sounds great!:thumb up2:
Sounds great!:thumb up2:
Ok and yes, I do have an on board 3 bank charger.
Me too. I think I'll wire the graphs to one of my TM batteries as ChampioNman suggested before I take it out again to see they shut down. If they don't I think that'll tell me there's something...
They run with key on. Shut down when the motor is running. I took it for a test run a couple of weeks ago and didn’t have that problem. All I did after that was to replace one of my trolling motor...
I checked my cranking battery today. 12.8v not running. 13.2v running.
No. Teflon lock nuts.
