From what you describe, the problem pretty much has to be with the transducer or a damaged cable .... probably going to have to get another transducer to test with.
Probably best to start a new...
Is it at the console or bow? Is the 2D coming from the HDSI or do you have a Y cable.
If you tried a different unit with the same result sure seems like you have a transducer problem or...
1. I personally want to have SI on the front. You will sometimes notice something off to the side .... but I don't fish those kind of waters much.
2. It depends on your boat hull and whether...
1. No. The current Solix units are G2 .... the current Helix models are G3, but there are some special Helix G2 units being sold in some stores.
2. Yes
3. Yes If you have 2 units networked...
There were 2 models of the Helix 12 DI G2n. One was Mega and one was not. https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/fish-finders/helix/helix-12-chirp-di-gps-g2n

That's all you need ..... Every core unit since the 99 series has used the adapter cable. The 98 series does not use the cable. There is an Ethernet manual on Humminbirds website that may clarify...
Also makes upgrading from the older units to the newer units cheaper and easier.....The Ethernet cable itself is the same across all generation units.
If your first post had clarified that you were talking about DI from 360 you wouldn't have got the response from ezfishn that you did.
Maybe start a separate thread on the subject to try to get...
No .... you need to download the file for each.
You should have SI on the SI unit .... The others won't have SI unless you select the SI unit imaging transducer in the network source menu.
Try resetting defaults on the SI unit.
If you only have 2 Ethernet devices..(Helix10 and Ipilot Link) you don't need the 5 port switch.....You can connect directly to your unit.
If you had 2 Helix 10's and I-pilot link, you would need...
[QUOTE=dove;7861251]So no extended range on SI, I guess. That's disappointing. Other chirp units will chirp in a narrow range surrounding the 455 khz SI pulse, thus extending the usable SI range by...

Post some pics of it once you get it working ....
There is a 3rd party mount...... http://www.cumberlandcrappie.com/accessories.html
If your Terrova has the US2, it will work fine with the Helix 10 sonar/gps.
Yes to the Autochart.....no specific transducer needed.
There's a lot of info here ...
Exactly .... Why spend more to get the Point 1 connected .... They aren't designed to work together and you may have compatibility issues. I'm sure you can sell the Point 1.
...
The DI from a dedicated transducer will be better than the blended DI.
There should be not problems connecting the 3 units with the Ethernet switch.
 Dang .... I didn't think you were going to figure that out.
I'm totally confused about whether the 2D sharing is necessary or not..... It didn't seem to be with Rickie's testing .... but...
You are correct .... but they need to expand the map sharing to the Helix to stay competitive ... just my opinion.
:thumb up2:Now they need to allow mapping sharing to keep up with the other guys.
Thanks for the feedback .... also enjoyed the articles on your website that I read.
1. The 360 will come with an Ethernet cable .....not sure how long it is.
2. Yes to the first part.....The transducer will be connected to one of the units...not the switch
3. You will need a y...
The 360 is an Ethernet accessory .... it doesn't connect like other transducers ....
Just an FYI ..... mapping and waypoints are 2 different things. Waypoints are not on ..... and should not be save to a mapping card. Waypoints can be exported to an SD card to be used in Humminbird...
Thanks Wayne .... I saw that sliding frequency range, but didn't know what the adjustment range was.......It would be nice to be able to tune the coverage to fit the situation.
