I didn't want to chance the screw going to deep so I used 3M dual lock discs.
2005 TR186 175 Optimax - 23 Tempest Plus (2 full open vents) 6 inch hydraulic jack plate. CB Marine foil. Run 62-65 with gear 3/8 tank and empty well with a decent hole shot.
Ultrex 112/ 45" shaft to 61101
Turned out looking really good Roy.
Nice and after all those storms and cold front came through.
I plan to go out this weekend if the weather allows for it.
Basscatcher12 I bought the bump board holder and tool holder from C and O marine. I remember I had to cut the tool hold to work. The board slides above my rod holder and I installed a small ledge...
I just got my renewal from Geico Marine and my premium went up 21 percent as well and zero claims. Starting to shop around now also.
I added a bump board holder, tool holder and installed a tackle box rack in the center compartment.

I had a new insert cut for mine so I could add a mount. This was the finished product.
Welcome to the gang. Nice rig, don't see black a lot.
Great read thanks. I look forward to reading your next piece TravisM. Please let us know when it comes out.
I would have to say a neko rig and then a jig
Defiantly a good idea, thanks!
I'm running a 23 Tempest Plus with two wide open vents and one partially plugged. I have a good hole shot and top end I'm getting low to mid 60's mph depending. I usually have two or three...
I put one in my center compartment and it works perfectly.
There use to be a guy on here that made divider inserts for the storage compartments. I can't remember his name though. Heres a couple pics of his work. 394672

That is why I decided to go with the 52" this time and it works very well with waves now. But the trade off is when in shallow water it can get in the way so its a trade off for sure.
Oh...
I also purchased the 52" inch for my TR186 and like itsahog I'm happy with my purchase. I will mention when the trolling motor is stowed I can't open my rod locker. Its easy to remedy, just lift the...
Yes it does, It has its own roller and its lined with thick plastic that prevents scratching. I've had zero damage from using it and I'm at a lake every weekend from spring to late fall.
I've been using the Drotto for a year now and love it. I too bought the model with the roller. If you have any questions I called the owner and he was very helpful with what I needed for my boat.
Turned out looking sharp.
You will also want to make sure they are all keyed alike or matched up to the cylinder number of the locks you already have on your boat if that's the way your are doing it?
I agree Hooksetter5 seemed like most of the summer this year it was high.
