Is the Garmin Force "control head" steering motor brushless like the main motor?

I have just purchased a 93sv plus with GT52 transducer and Livescope.
Now that the Force trolling motor is out I would like to know if it can be ordered without the transducer and put my GT52 on it?

Has anyone tried to reload the update on the water after getting the "No Transducer detected" ?

Hard to find a "Boat Buddy" anymore.
I have them on 3 boats and like them but the one "CatFan" recommended is the way to go.

You will never regret using these clamps!
All your friends will want you to replace all of their clamps after they find out your secret.

I have the same Engine/Prop combo on my Stratos and the original 3 blade Turbo 24P works the best out of all the props I've tried.
But if anyone has anything newer that is better I'm interested to...

Does this allow to go ahead and use a Maintenance free battery like an Optima?
Because with just a Rectifier it overcharges when using an Optima.

I'm interested in converting my 1985 Mercury 150hp XR2 rectifier only to a rectifier/regulator so it won't overcharge and damage anything.
Any issues with this plan?
