Quick one guys! The steering fluid fill point is just down from the screen on the drivers console - how high should the fluid level be when you unscrew the cap?

The whole making oil thing and the ways to address it have been covered many times but my question is this. If you have "made oil" and run the motor hot and long does the oil level return...

Block 1 using the internet methods - made oil and self destructed.
Block 2 100% by the book - no oil made.

Can only tell you what I know.

Top of the drive shaft is dry where it mates with the block. Drop the gear case and lubricate.

Does it? Average normal WOT temps at the block sensor are 250F. I've never seen that reported on a Lowrance. Its usually around 140 odd and the block is definitely not at 140 when running as you say.

Set it to 180. Actual alarm will come on at 185 or so.

Just bad coincidence. Can't harm anything with NMEA really.
